Preparation and Safety

Please bring back Chocolate Brownie!I have used 454 Chocolate Brownie for years and loved the colour - it's a perfect glossy rich brown with red...but the new goji brown (still 454) is not the same! All red and no deep rich brown! I've tried so many others since the change and can't find anything that comes close to the same colour - please please bring chocolate brownie back!

Terrible 'new formula 'I have used 454 chocolate brownie for several years, I was very happy with it.some months ago 454 became Gigi brown. The colour is now more orange, the conditioner does not leave hair soft and silky like the old formula. Probably the worst thing is the colour transfers onto pillowcases & jacket collars, very disappointed. Please bring back the old formula, I am currently looking for a different hair dye.

Why change the formula?!I have used Chocolate Brownie for about 8 years now and its the perfect colour. So why suddenly change the formula? And change the name? The NEW Goji Brown which has the same picture and 454 number is not the same colour. Its very purple so please all be aware when thinking you'll get the same colour as before. Could the Loreal team advise which colour is now closest to the original Chocolate Brownie colour? I'm a bit stuck with what to do with my hair now! Thank you

My hair is red!!!!It should be labelled red not chocolate brownie. My hair is a really dark red and looks so un natural. I can't wait for it to fade so I correct it to an actual brown colour. I do not recommend for a brunette hair dye. It's is red!! Very unhappy with the outcome.

Recommendation with reservationsI love the way the crème gloss leaves my hair feeling and that lasts for at least a week after dyeing. I would highly reccomend it as it takes care of my hair while giving me a lasting color.
But due to my experience with other brands and other L'Oréal hair colors, I came to the conclusion that the color does not really set in at the recommended 30 min, i need to leave it for 45 minutes — then, I have the results that are expected from the product. Overall, I would not use any other.

Left hair very shiny.I should have maybe picked a darker colour when ordering this buzz kit as the one I picked was very close to my natural colour so there wasn't really much difference. However, it did give my hair a nice shiny look and left it feeling soft. It's good that it's a wash in/wash out one as it doesnt take too much to get rid of it if you don't like it. Although it did leave some marks in my shower that took a little extra elbow grease to get rid of while it was washing out. Overall not a bad product. I don't colour my hair often but if I was going to o would consider buying this product again.

Chocolate delightI love colouring my hair especially now that I have more than a few gray hairs going so was excited to try the Cating Creme Gloss for free from L'Oreal Paris. My hair has been a lighter brown recently but decided to opt for the chocolate brown colour which is closer to my natural hair colour and more like a dark brown. The product description states that "The no-ammonia crème formula blends away greys. Your hair looks more beautiful and has all the richness of truly natural-looking colour, full of visible shimmering tones. " Well it did blend all of my grays away and it's been two weeks now since I coloured my hair and I t doesn't seem to have faded as all. It is very natural looking and I can see different tones, some red shimmers in it when the light hits it. So overall I am pleased with the end results.
Looking at how easy/difficult it was to use the product I would say that it's similar to other colouring products that I have used. The bottles are clearly labeled so you don't mix them up. The instructions were pretty clear and it took about a minute to mix it up. The gloves were designed for the smallest hands and I couldn't get them on my hands properly which made gripping the bottle and applying the hair dye more difficult than it should be. My hair is shoulder length and there was plenty of product there to easily cover all of it without worrying about running out. You need to leave it on for the allotted time then rinse it all out. After that I applied the Nutri-Shine conditioner with Aloe Vera and Green Tea. The conditioner is lovely and smells divine and it left my hair feeling super smooth, healthy and shiny. There is enough of the conditioner to use at least another two - three times to keep that healthy shine going. They dye did a fab job at covering all my grey's. The end colour is a little bit darker than my usual hair colour, but it looks natural which is great.
Overall I am really pleased with this product and would recommend it to other people. I would hope that they improve the gloves though as it was a negative in the experience and did make using the products more difficult than it should be. However it did cover my grey's as promised and provided shimmering colour.
