Cooking instructions: Oven
Oven cook from chilled. If freezing at home, defrost thoroughly before cooking. Before cooking: Remove all packaging and allow to rest at room temperature for 30 minutes. Preheat oven. Brush the joint with 5ml of oil and season with salt and pepper. During cooking: Preheat pan to a high heat. Sear all sides of the joint in a hot pan for 6 minutes. Place the joint in a roasting dish loosely covered with foil and place on the middle shelf of the oven. Cooking time for rare is 25 minutes plus 11 minutes per 500g, medium is 25 minutes plus 16 minutes per 500g, and well done is 25 minutes plus 30 minutes per 500g. After cooking: Remove from oven, cover joint in foil and leave to rest for 10 minutes. This product should be cooked until piping hot throughout. If cooking rare, check the surface is fully seared/browned. All cooking appliances vary. This is a guide only. Oven cook from chilled 200°C/Fan 180°C/Gas 7
