To pan fry and oven cook from chilled. If freezing at home, defrost thoroughly before cooking. Before cooking: Remove all packaging and allow to rest at room temperature for 10 minutes. Rub with 5ml of oil and season with a pinch of salt and pepper. Preheat oven to 190°C/Fan 180°C/Gas 7. Preheat frying pan to a high heat. During cooking: For best results, the pan must be hot. Sear all sides for 5 minutes. Transfer steak from the pan onto a preheated baking tray and place on the middle shelf of the oven. Cooking times for rare are 22 minutes, medium 26 minutes, well done 32 minutes, turning halfway through. After cooking: Remove from the oven and allow to rest for 10 minutes before serving. This product should be cooked until piping hot throughout. If cooking rare, check the surface is fully seared/browned. All cooking appliances vary. This is a guide only.
