Cahors is famed for its rich, powerful wines made using the bold Malbec grape. Château les Bouysses has been making wines in the region since 1230 when it started life as a priory. A top match for rich beef stews.

I buy several bottle of this a week and also large amounts for special occasions and celebrations. It is a very easy smooth drink, not too heavy, nice fruity flavours. Will continue to buy large quantities all the time it is available.

Good quality robust wineThis wine is very good quality, reflected in the price, certainly not one for just “swigging”, but to be enjoyed slowly with the right food- ie:- rich hearty casseroles etc. it is rich, robust and deeply fruity.
A bit too robust for me (I’m only a lightweight!) but my husband thoroughly enjoyed it. Keeping some back to add to a casserole.

A lovely bottle!!Bought this for a Friday night to have with a lovely steak meal at home. It’s a really good bottle and a reasonable price too! It’s light and fruity and has no funny after taste! I’m no wine expert and probably I’m not using the right words but if you are looking for a red which is easy to drink and not expensive this is your bottle!!

Authentic Cahors MalbecWe had a house in the Cahors AOC for nearly ten wonderful years and I can confirm this is an authentic Cahors wine! Not the same as Malbec from elsewhere!
