Preparation and Safety

Just Add: - 300ml semi-skimmed milk 2 Easy Steps... 1 Stir the sauce mix with milk in a small saucepan. 2 Bring to the boil gently, stirring continuously. Simmer for a couple of mins, until sauce is smooth and thickened. Try Something Different: Perfect with pan-fried cod or salmon and buttered potatoes. Top pan-fried cod with crispy bacon and serve on a bed of creamy mashed potatoes with plenty of butter and Schwartz Chives before pouring over the prepared sauce.

Cooking instructions: Microwave

(800W)... Microwave ovens vary. The following is a guide only. Empty the sauce mix into a large microwaveable bowl or jug. Stir in milk and heat on full power for 4 mins, stirring every minute until smooth and thickened. Stir well and ensure sauce is piping hot before serving.

Fish accompanimentTried this with salmon and texture was very creamy and a perfect accompaniment. Also tried this with pasta when I made it with peas and and prawns. It gave the dish a creamy sauce and helped combine everything together. Would recommend with most fish dishes and very easy to make.

Perfect for adding to fish pie!This parsley sauce is so easy to make and perfect for adding to a homemade fish pie. It complements the mash well (I add a splash of cream and butter to mine to make it extra creamy) and if you make the sauce a little bit thinner than instructed it coats the fish perfectly. The parsley flavour isn't overpowering like some packers can be, it just helps to elevate an already tasty meal.

A nice quick and easy parsley sauce optionI love using the Schwartz creamy parsley sauce for a quicker solution than making it from scratch. It's very quick and easy to make. It makes a very tasty creamy saucy accompaniment with a nice fish dinner. We really enjoy it as a family when we have a salmon or home made fish and chip dinner.

Best storecupboard brandSchwartz are my go to brand for storecupboard sauces. They taste great, give a lovely result and there are no artificial ingredients , hydrogenated fats or MSG. I use full fat milk, cook in a milk-pan on the hob and get perfect results.

could be better but worth 4****Tried this for the first time tonight, with cod. As I use skimmed milk it was on the watery side (instructions say use half a pint of semi skimmed milk) , although flavoursome and tasty. I did it in the microwave, 850w, for 3.5 minutes (instructions are a guideline for 800w microwaves, 4 mins). If it says to stir during cooking I didn't see it, but it definitely needs stirring. Next time I will cook it on the hob instead and use a thicker milk. Generous serving for one sachet and tastier than I expected.
