1. These terms and conditions prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials. Entry instructions are deemed to form part of the terms and conditions and by participating, all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the terms and conditions. Please retain a copy for your information.
2. Eligibility: This promotion is open to residents of the UK aged 18 years or over at the date of entry, excluding employees of the Promoter and their immediate families, associated agents or anyone professionally connected with the promotion.
3. Promotion Period: The promotion will run from 00:01 on 09.09.2024 and 23:59 on 31.12.2024. Any entries received outside the promotional period will not be accepted.
4. Purchase is necessary. Original Receipt confirming a purchase of any Kenco product within the Promotion Period and prior to date of entry should be retained, as proof of purchase will be required to claim a prize.
5. Entry instructions: To enter prize draw, purchase any Kenco product during the Promotion Period from a participating retailer (ASDA, Tesco and Sainsbury’s) then text KENCO to 60060 followed by the Retailer, Full Name, Email Address e.g. KENCO SAINSBURYS JOHN SMITH johnsmith@kenco.com. Entrants will receive a text message thanking them for entering the promotion. Entrants will be notified within 14 days after the promotion ends if they have won. Winners will be notified of how to claim their prize. A text entry will be charged at your standard network rate (and may not be included within any free text packages). Please check with the bill payer before sending a text entry. Entrants are advised to take care when submitting an entry; the Promoter is not responsible for mistypes and incorrect texts may still be charged. Only correctly submitted entries will be accepted. Entries received after the closing date will not be entered but may still be charged. Kenco products are subject to availability and whilst stocks last.
6. Mobile phone required. Entry is via SMS only.
7. Only one entry per Kenco product bought through participating retailers (Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s) will be accepted. Anyone entering without complying with these terms will be disqualified from the promotion.
8. Maximum one prize per person per household. If multiple winners are selected from the same household, only the first entry will be accepted and all other prizes will be redrawn.
9. Entrants who make an entry on someone else’s behalf will be disqualified, at the Promoter’s discretion.
10. Incomplete, illegible, invalid or misdirected entries will not be accepted. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of delivery.
11. Prizes: There are 10 prizes available to be won per retailer, 30 prizes in total. The prizes are:

ii. The break is for 3 nights on a room-only basis staying in a lodge/cabin.
iii. Winners can choose from the following locations: Ardgartan Argyll, Scotland / Beddgelert, Snowdonia / Blackwood Forest, Hampshire / Cropton, North Yorkshire / Deerpark, Cornwall / Delamere forest, Cheshire / Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire / Keldy, North Yorkshire / Sherwood Forest, Nottinghamshire or Strathyre, Scotland.
iv. The break is based on a Friday- Monday stay.
v. At least one guest must be 18 or over.
vi. The prize is subject to availability at the time of booking.
vii. The getaway must have been booked and taken within 12 months of completion of the promotion but excludes stays over the following dates: 22.12.24 – 02.01.25, 17.04.25 – 22.04.25, 02.05.25 – 06.05.25, 23.05.25 – 27.05.25, 22.08.25 – 26.08.25.
viii. The winner and guests are responsible for all expenses not expressly stated in these terms and conditions as being included as part of the prize. All other costs and expenses incurred from the getaway including, but not limited to travel, excursions, meals and drinks as required, spending money, tips and other gratuities are the winner’s and their guests’ own.
ix. Text included in the marketing materials 'sustainable UK getaway' is based on the prize fulfilment provider (Forest Holidays) sustainability commitments and environmental policy, including but not limited to the below credentials (and as referenced on the Forest Holidays website www.forestholidays.co.uk/about/environment/environment):
- Holiday locations that are designed to work in harmony with nature including under BREEAM standards, the world's leading sustainability assessment method.
- Using PEFC (Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification, PEFC/16-37-2187) sustainable wood for cabins, promoting recycling and low energy usage whilst avoiding light pollution.
- BCORP certified.
- Preserving 219 hectares of land and protecting 280 species of wildlife through a long-term programme of ecological monitoring and habitat and woodland management.
- Targeting Net Zero emissions across all operations and locations by 2030 (Scope 1 & 2) against a FY22 baseline.
- Targeting reduction of total water operational consumption by 5% based on a FY22 baseline.
- Achieving a minimum of 15% Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) for all new locations.
- Becoming zero waste to landfill by 2028.
- Implementing a light touch approach to cabin builds with modular timber units that are carefully assembled between the trees and raised on steel piles which are placed vertically into the ground. This protects the forest floor, ensures that nearby trees are unaffected and minimised soil movement and ensures rainwater drains into the forest floor naturally.
12. Winner Selection: The prizes specified in Condition 10 above will all be won (except if the number of prizes available exceeds the total number of valid entries received so there is no guarantee all prizes will be won). All prize winners are allocated via an independent adjudicator with x10 prizes allocated randomly for each retailer (ASDA, Tesco and Sainsbury’s) on or before the 14.01.2025.
13. Winner Notification: Prize winners will be sent a text message on or before the 14.01.2025 to the mobile number used to enter if they are a lucky winner informing them an email is on the way - An email will be sent to the winner asking them to respond with their name, full home address, proof of ID (passport, driving license or equivalent) and receipt in order to claim their prize within 14 days of initial notification. In the case that they do not respond in time, reject the prize or are ineligible, another winner will be selected using the same methodology as above. The process will repeat for three months after the closing date after which all remaining and unclaimed prizes will be null and void. Entrants are encouraged to monitor their connections during this time in case they are a winner.
14. Prize fulfilment: After valid claim and once a winner’s receipt and ID have been verified, they will be emailed a link to the booking form and prize information within 14 days.
15. Each prize is as stated and no other prize alternatives are available except that in the event of circumstances outside of its control the Promoter reserves the right to substitute a similar prize of equal or greater value. The prizes are non-transferable and cannot be sold or auctioned. Unless otherwise agreed in writing by the Promoter, a prize will only be awarded directly to the entrant responsible for the mobile phone number against which a winning text entry was registered.
16. Each winner is also responsible for any personal or incidental expenses and any VAT, national and/or local tax liabilities incurred in claiming or using the prize.

18. Winner selection is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into, except with the prize winners.
19. Entries (bulk or otherwise) made from trade, syndicates, consumer groups or third parties will not be accepted. Entrants reposting the same content multiple times or using multiple addresses, email addresses, numbers or via agents, third parties, organised groups or those automatically generated by computer will not be accepted but may still be charged. Entries received by any means other than as specified in these Terms will be rejected. Any person persistently trying to circumvent the entry process will be disqualified immediately.
20. It is the responsibility of the entrant to provide correct, up-to-date details when entering the promotion and on prize acceptance. The Promoter does not accept any responsibility in the event a winner is not able to take their prize for whatever reason, including in the event that a winner provides an incorrect email address.
21. Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter and its agents will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate entrants for any losses that may be incurred as a result of entering the Promotion and the Promoter does not accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of a winner’s acceptance of a prize except where such damage, loss or personal injury is caused by the negligence of the Promoter or its agents in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law. The winners’ statutory rights are not affected.
22. The Promoter has no control over communication networks and is not liable for any problems associated with them due to traffic congestion, technical malfunction or otherwise. The Promoter will not be held liable to any individual for any fraud committed by any third party nor for any event beyond its control including, but not limited to, user error and any network, computer, hardware or software failures of any kind which may restrict, delay or prevent a participant’s entry to the promotion.
23. Use of Personal Data: Personal data provided will be used for the purposes of administering the promotion only and will at all times be kept confidential and in accordance with current Data Protection legislation. Please see Promotor’s Privacy Policy at https://www.kenco.co.uk/privacy-cookies/. Entrant data will be deleted three months after the close of the promotion with the exception of the winners whose data will be deleted on completion of their getaway and up to a maximum of 12 month after the close date. Surname and county details may be retained and made available to members of the public in accordance with Condition.
24. A winner can request for their personal data including name, phone number and home address details to be deleted before the expiry of this period by emailing Kencowinners@activeconsultancy.com (as above) although the Promoter cannot be held responsible if such request means that it is unable to complete delivery of a winner's prize or assist them following deletion of their contact details. By participating in the promotion, you agree to the use of your personal data as described here. The Promoter will collect and process participants' personal information and it will be shared with the Promoter's agents Active whose Privacy Policy is available here https://activeconsultancy.com/privacy-policy/ to the extent necessary in order to conduct the Promotion including for the prizes to be delivered to the winners. If entrants do not provide any of the mandatory information requested when entering and taking part in the Promotion, they may not take part in the Promotion. Entrants' names and other personal details from their entry to the Promotion will be collected and stored by the promoter and its affiliates (including those outside the European Economic Area) and held in accordance with the applicable privacy policy in place from time to time. Winners may be asked by the Promoter to participate in reasonable further publicity relating to their winning of a prize, free of charge.

26. A winner shall have the right to decline to participate in such publicity.
27. The Promoter will make available a list of winners’ surnames and counties of residence to members of the public or regulators who request such details within 3 months of the closing date of this promotion. Entrants can object to disclosure, or request that disclosure be limited in scope by contacting Kencowinners@activeconsultancy.com. The Promoter may, notwithstanding any objection, disclose information pertaining to competition winners to the Advertising Standards Authority if required to do so. You may request a copy of the winners list by Kencowinners@activeconsultancy.com. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse such requests.
28. General: The Promoter cannot be held responsible for the failure of any third party to fulfil its obligations in connection with this promotion, although the Promoter will endeavour to minimise the effect of such failure on the entrants.
29. The Promoter is not responsible for any entries which fail to be registered or are delayed for any technical or other reason whatsoever. The Promoter cannot be held responsible if a winner does not receive their prize as a result of having provided incomplete or inaccurate details.
30. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the winning entries including asking for proof of purchase and the winner's identity, including proof of age (passport, driving licence or equivalent) which they must provide within 14 days but which will not be retained following verification by the Promoter and redemption of the prize. The Promoter also reserves the right to refuse to award a prize or withdraw the prize entitlement and/or refuse further participation in the promotion and disqualify the participant where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these terms and conditions or any instructions forming part of the entry requirements or otherwise where a participant has gained unfair advantage in participating in the promotion or won using fraudulent means. The Promoter will be the final arbiter in any decisions, and these will be binding and no correspondence will be entered into in relation to this clause.
31. In the event of circumstances outside the reasonable control of the Promoter, or otherwise where fraud, abuse, and/or an error (human or computer) affects or could affect the proper operation of this promotion or the awarding of the prizes, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, modify or suspend the promotion, replace a prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value, or amend these terms and conditions, at any stage, with no liability to any entrants or third parties. If any act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which is beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter and which prevents the Promoter from complying with these terms and conditions (including but not limited to global or regional health crises, weather conditions, fire, flood, strike, hurricane, industrial dispute, war, terrorist activity, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, epidemic, pandemic, famine, plague or other natural calamities and acts of God), the Promoter will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligations but will always endeavour to minimise the effect to participants in order to avoid undue disappointment.
32. If any of these clauses should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable then it shall be severed and deleted from these terms and conditions and the remaining clauses shall survive and remain in full force and effect.
33. This Offer and these Terms are subject the laws of England. Any disputes must be referred to the English and Welsh courts unless you live in another part of the UK, in which case your local courts will have jurisdiction.
34. Neither the promoter nor any of its subsidiary or affiliated companies are responsible for any condition, circumstances, losses, failures or delays caused by events beyond its or their control such as (but not limited to) the acts or defaults of any supplier selected by the promoter to provide the prize or otherwise that may cause the Promotion to be disrupted or corrupted, or that may lead to loss or damage of the prize in transit to the winner but will always endeavour to minimise the effect to participants in order to avoid undue disappointment.
