Sainsbury’s & The Royal British Legion

We’ve been proud supporters of The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal for 23 years. Once again we’re delighted to support The Royal British Legion and its sister charity Poppyscotland through a number of different activities.
Donations will help the charities provide vital support to service personnel, veterans and their families. Whether that be helping veterans young and old transition into civilian life, helping with employment, financial issues, respite and recovery, through to lifelong care and independent living.

New this year

We’ll be supporting in 350 of our stores with a new initiative exclusive to Sainsbury’s. Every time customers purchase selected P&G products; such as Oral-B, Olay, Gillette and Pantene at Sainsbury’s instore or online, a 10p donation per pack sold will be made to the charity. This will be running in stores and online 11 Oct – 21 Nov 2017.
We’re selling pin badges online to commemorate the centenary of the Battle of Passchendaele. Find out more here. We’re also selling stick on poppies online for the third year running.
Our stores with Travel Money Bureaux (220) are also collecting foreign and old currency that is donated by customers for The Royal British Legion.

Poppyscotland is the sister charity of The Royal British Legion operating in Scotland. They provide life-changing support to the Armed Forces community year round. They reach out to those who have served, those still serving, and their families at times of crisis and need by offering vital, practical advice, assistance and funding.
