At Sainsbury's, we can celebrate the great taste and tenderness of our RSPCA assured British Veal. All of our veal farmers are independently approved by the RSPCA and our farms are run by dedicated farmers with a wealth of experience for rearing veal. Our veal calves have lots of space to roam, plenty of natural light and a healthy diet.

The Sainsbury’s veal system involves technology to replicate the calves’ natural feeding behaviour. For example, we make sure that the calves always have milk available to drink whenever they want it, which is how nature intended calves to be reared. We also ensure our calves have an abundant access to straw and we have introduced oregano into their diets, to ensure and promote great digestive health.

Sainsbury's veal is a great British product. I enjoy producing Veal for Sainsbury's, and it's something I am very proud to be part of.
