Our baby beetroot in vinegar is created with all the care and attention you expect from Baxters. Only the best beetroots make it into our jars, after they have been gently steamed in small batches and sorted by hand. The pickled beetroot is created by preserving the beetroots using a special malt vinegar recipe made from British barley. You can enjoy our baby beetroot in vinegar in so many ways. They add flavour and bite to a salad, can be served with pasta, and make an ideal accompaniment to a ploughman’s lunch.
For more than 150 years, Baxters has brought delicious food from our family’s kitchen to yours.
Our beetroot now graces tables across the world – quite a journey from 1868, when George and Margaret Baxter began selling jams and jellies made from local fruit at their little shop in Scotland.
What has not changed is our devotion to George’s vow to “be different and be better”. We still use fresh local produce – and every recipe is signed off by his great-granddaughter Audrey, the fourth generation of Baxters to lead the company.
