User with sensitive skin should avoid prolonged contact with highly concentrated solutions of Soda Crystals. Preparation and Safety

Soda Crystals are Ideal for: Clothes Washing - Use in wash or as a pre-soak. Laundry Water Softening - Use less detergent and add a tablespoon of Soda Crystals to protect machine from limescale. Cleaning - Dissolves grease from pans, extractor hoods, BBQs etc. Sinks and Drains - Keeps them blockage-free when used regularly. Drives and Patios - Removes moss and prevents slippery surfaces. Washing Machine Cleaning - Remove odour and build up. Guide to Soda Crystals Solution Strengths Strong 1 Cup (200g) to 1 Pint (500ml) of hot water Regular 1/2 Cup (100g) to 1 Pint (500ml) of hot water Mild 1 Tablespoon (20g) to 1 Pint (500ml) of hot water For best results use hot water. Actual strength depends on task.

Soda crystals 1kgI had a duvet which was so dirty I was thinking of throwing it away but I didn't want to.

Instead I saved the bathwater and added one third of pack of soda crystals, submerged the duvet and left it overnight.

Next morning I emptied the water, which was filthy, added some more water with some white vinegar to rinse, then a final rinse with fabric conditioner. I had to leave it to drain (water is heavy) before putting it in a bucket to take outside.

I left it to dry on two upturned camping chairs outside and it looked like new. It would have broken the washing line.

Launderette charges would have been between £16 or more and the cost to replace it would have been similar.

Soda crystals are also useful to clear moss and algae from paths and roof tiles. I just sprinkle it sparingly on the slippery path. The damp finishes the work.

It also helps to clean drains both indoors and outdoors. I do mine every October or November before any frosts. Just soda crystals and hot water down each sink and the same down every outside drain.

I also use a sprinkle of it to wash the lino kitchen floor and the oven top as it dissolves any grease. I rinse it with clean water and a small dash of white vinegar so there's no residue.

I've even used it to clean plastic gutters dissolved with warm water and they shine like new.

SolidI haven't been able to find this product recently in the Sainsbury's store I use weekly, when I did find it this week the powder is solid in the packet. I needed the product so made the purchase in the hope I woulod be able to loosen the powder at home, this was not the case.
