This specificity results in the generous, authentic fruit aromas of Martell vs. this remarkably smooth cognac can be enjoyed neat or in cocktails.

Preparation and Safety

Why not try making the ‘Martell Summer Collins' cocktail? Ingredients 60ml Martell VS Cognac 30ml Lemon Juice 20ml Maple Syrup 2 Muddled Peaches Soda Water How to Mix: Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker, except for the soda water. Muddle, and shake with ice to chill the drink. Fine strain the drink into a highball glass filled with ice. Top with soda water and enjoy.

Serving suggestion: The perfect cognac to enjoy in long drinks or cocktails. Cognac may also be drunk neat, with ice or diluted with a little water. At Martell, we do not recommend warming Cognac as it brings out the alcohol too strongly and releases the aromas too quickly. A tulip glass, rather than a balloon glass, is also recommended since it assures a much better appreciation of the entire aromatic range of the Cognac

Not Gift Boxed !!!More false advertising from Sainsburys. Product description clearly states “Martell VS Cognac Gift Box, 70cl” whereas it didn’t arrive in a gift box so can’t be gifted to the recipient as intended.

Sweet and smoothThis cognac has a wonderful sweet flavour of
apricots. It is rich, aromatic, sweet and incredibly smooth. I particularly lke it neat with ice - a perfect drink on a cold winters night.

Festive Coctail Essential.If you only want to buy one bottle of Cognac this is a fantastic choice. Beautiful amber colour in the glass and smooth warm spicy notes. Perfect for the festive season not only on its own but for a variety of cocktails which never fail to impress. Cognac and Champagne Cocktail being a personal choice.

Perfect winter warmerVery nice cognac. Sweet and smooth, and the prominent grape flavour makes it perfect as a winter warmer.
Tried it with lemonade and ginger ale, as suggested in a cocktail book. This worked OK, but personally I prefer it straight. And it's lovely next to a black coffee.
Also, the old-fashioned bottle looks appealing and makes it a nice gift too.
