Pure Sheep's Milk Cheese
Naturally Protein Rich
Local Freshly Pasteurised Ewe's Milk
Suitable for Vegetarians
Handmade in Lancashire
Our Parlick Sheep's Cheese is named after the Parlick Fell, just 5 miles away from our family farmhouse dairy in Lancashire. Parlick is the perfect ewe's milk alternative to Cow's milk Cheddar. A slightly soft but firm cheese; when eating Parlick, you'll get a rich, creamy, slightly nutty flavour. Naturally nutritious and high in protein, sheep’s milk contains all 10 essential amino acids, making it a complete protein source. Thanks to its whey protein content, many people find sheep's milk easier to digest than cow's or goat's milk cheeses. To release all its flavours, don't forget to leave it out of the fridge (and ideally, its packaging) at least 1 hour before you want to tuck it on your cheeseboard.
Packed in a protective atmosphere.
Butlers Farmhouse Cheeses
Family - There is no escaping it, we are a family business. That’s what makes things exciting, and these family values are the bedrock of our culture. Richard and Annie started it, Jean and Tom nurtured it. Gill and Colin opened it, and the history page is just turning for Matthew and Daniel. Cheese - We just cant get enough of it. As a family we eat, sleep and live cheese - it's our passion, and we like to think that we are really good at making it. We make all kinds of cheese, from classic Lancashire recipes to tiny soft cheeses inspired by those found in France. Innovation - You name it, we've tried it! Cheese is so versatile and fun to work with - and we're constantly thinking about what else we can do with it.
