Tastes like regular sugarThere is no strange artificial taste with this. I use it in making cakes, etc and it tastes and uses exactly like regular sugar. The quantity you use is the same as regular sugar. The only thing I can't make with it are meringues. It is expensive compared to regular sugar but is good if you ate diabetic.

Sweetness is my weaknessAs with many sweet toothers like myself find in latter years find Diabetes..
I looked everywhere & tasted some horrible stuff & then found Xylitol which I buy every week..
It’s actually sweeter than any cane or sugar beet derivatives that I remember & totally safe for diabetics or for those who want to cut down on sugar intake,
Obviously it’s more costly than normal sugar but when Sainsbury’s does a Nectar promotion I tend to buy more than usual..
Definitely a recommendation from myself. 10/10

Sweet successHave used this for some time now , tried baking with it with limited success. I just use a small sprinkle on breakfast . I find it dosnt seem to have the aftertaste that other sweeteners do .dissolves ok .
It’s just like granulated sugar in texture .

A Helpful Alternative To Sugar (sucrose)Like all alternative sweeteners, this doesn't taste like sugar (sucrose) but has a sweet taste. The advantage over artificial sweeteners is xylitol is from a natural source, it's also antibacterial and antifungal. As someone who can't tolerate sugars (as sucrose and fructose) or artificial chemical sweeteners, this has been a really helpful alternative. I use it in drinks, add it to deserts and use it as an ingredient for biscuits and cakes. I use less than I would sugar, because otherwise it can cause bloating.

Warning, this product is highly toxic to dogs!Given that this can kill dogs, I would not even keep it in my house. I don't like the fact that it's entering our food chain. If you cook with it and then discard the product it in the bin...a fox may eat it and die.
