This wine is made from Grolleau Gris, a rare grape variety which is almost completely limited to growing in the Loire Valley. The exceptional vineyard location and climate allow this aromatic variety to ripen to perfection, so creating a fruity and balanced wine with an alcohol level of just 8.5%. This mid-strength wine offers a lighter experience with 62 calories and 1.1 units per 125ml glass.

French is bestLove the fact thsi is low alcohol. Standard example of a Loire white. Acidic but with justcenough sweetness. Can be drank on its own. Best just of fridge temperature. Very good price aswell.

Really good lower strength wineGreat to see Sainsburys stocking this. It doesn't taste any different to "normal" strength wine - it's really nice - but has the benefit of lower alcohol. Will be re-purchasing.

Didn't taste like lower-alcohol wine :)This 'mid strength' wine went down a treat with both my mum and my husband, neither of whom thought that the wine tasted like it has a lower alcohol content (8.5% rather than 11-12%) than their usual bottles of choice.

A great generic wine choice that I'd be happy to order again.

Light and fruityHaving never tried the Grolleau Gris grape before I was very pleasantly surprised. This light in alcohol wine was ever so slightly off dry and fruity, the tropical fruit flavours coming through well and a nice aroma. I had this with fishcakes and it went well. 8.5% means lower calories, a second or third glass is very doable.

Ticks the right boxesFor a Taste the Difference product, I thought this might have been more expensive. No need for any trepidation though - this was a very pleasant white wine. Advice was to have with spicy food - but we had it with a non-spicy chicken and it was still a great accompaniment.

Light summer wineThis wine is a little lacking in body but then it is only 8% alcohol so it is to be expected. It had a pleasant fruity flavour and was easy to drink, not too sweet. It is a light summery wine,ideal for BBQs.

DeliciousThis wine smelt amazing as it poured and tasted delicious. I drank mine with a selection of chicken and fish dishes, over several evenings. I would thoroughly recommend this product. I have bought it again since initially having this product to try.
