Intense ruby red, with violet hues. Primitivo comes right at you with huge inky black fruit, fig, spice and white pepper scents. Layered and rich in the mouth with jammy notes and great texture. Extraordinarily round and complete.

This rich and full-bodied fruited wine make it a great partner for rich meat dishes, spicy cheeses, and charcuterie.

From picturesque vineyards in the Puglia region of southern Italy, the warm, sunny climate helps to produce a smooth, medium-bodied wine with ripe juicy fruit flavours.

prefered red wineI've been drinking this regions wine for some years now and it's good to see Sainsburys are maintainng a stock of it. The Mediterranean region of Italy that this is produced in is a natural for a delightful lighter (not full in your face) red wine. Please continue to supply this wine.
