Quite undrinkable.Tastes like sweetened water. Hardly any hint of wine flavour – certainly not of sherry. So say "fortified", but not a lot. If you're looking for a cheap aperitif, try the Sainsbury's Vermouth Extra Dry 1L for just thirty bob more. This Medium British Wine is quite undrinkable.

AwfulI agree with other reviews. This is awful. Nothing like the previous medium dry Spanish sherry which was very good. Never thrown away sherry before but have to say, this one dear me, is awful. Save your money

Utterly vileBought completely by accident as I wanted a sherry for cooking. I know its my fault and I should have read the very small print on the bottle, but to be fair the store had cleverly placed it mixed up with the real sherries on the shelf and I was in a hurry. Moment I opened the bottle the chemical smell told me something was wrong. One sip and well... If it was possible to give less than one star I would.

Great ProductThis is a really good product at a great price, especially in comparison to the nearest comparison of an own brand bought recently at another supermarket where their's is now £7.75 for a litre as opposed to £6.50 in Sainsburys.

OK with tonic waterMany years ago we visited Buckfast Abbey and bought their infamous tonic wine (well known in Glasgow as Bucky). It was disgusting, but we discovered that when used as a base with tonic water it was actually rather pleasant. This serves as a perfectly good substitute for that purpose.
