Terms & conditions
These Terms and Conditions prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials. Entry/claim instructions are deemed to form part of the terms and conditions and by participating all claimants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the terms and conditions. Please retain a copy for your information.
1. Eligibility: This promotion is open to residents of Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales) aged 16 or over except employees of the Promoter, their families, agents or anyone professionally connected with the promotion.
2. Promotional Period: The opening date for entries is 8am (BST) on 4th July 2016 and the closing date for receipt of entries is 10pm (GMT) on 4th December 2016. Promotional packs are limited in number, but codes can be redeemed until the closing date.
3. Entry Instructions: Purchase necessary. Buy a promotional pack of 80s or 160s PG tips black tea, visit www.pgtips.co.uk/mymug and enter your unique code from inside the lid of your promotional pack for a chance to win 1x personalised Bone China mug. For the entry to be valid, entrants must provide their first name, surname, email address and full postal address details.
4. The promotion runs across the following PG tips Black Tea promotional packs: PG tips Original 80s and PG tips Original 160s
5. Only valid unique promotional codes will be accepted. Each pack contains 1 unique code that can only be entered once.
6. Entrants should retain promotional packs with code as proof of purchase.
7. No entries from agents, third parties, organised groups or entries automatically generated by computer will be accepted. No incomplete or corrupted entries will be accepted. Entries will only be accepted if they comply with all entry instructions.
8. No bulk entries. No entrant can use their computer to enable multiple entries, (e.g. By the use of 'script' or 'brute force' or the use of automated devices or processes).
9. Winners will be notified immediately on screen and will be directed to leave their details for prize fulfilment. All details must be recorded immediately, as winners will not be able to return this page. In the event of a non-claim the prize will be declared unwanted and the prize will be lost.
10. By participating in this promotion, you agree to release, discharge and hold us harmless from any and all injuries, liability, losses and damages of any kind resulting from your participation in this promotion (save that nothing shall limit our liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence).
11. Prize Fund: The winners will receive a personalised mug with their initials on. The prize is one mug per winning unique code only. There are 525,424 mugs available to win. Mug personalisation to be for 2 initials only, to feature on 1 side of the mug only.
12. Unique codes will be randomly selected as winners, by an algorithm (at the time of entry) which has been independently tested and approved. This will ensure there is an equal chance of winning for everyone. Although all prizes will be available to be won, there is no guarantee that they will all actually be won.
13. Mugs will be sent to the winners via second class post.
14. If you not receive the mug after 90 days, please contact the Careline for free on 0800 456111 between 9am and 6pm
15. Entries received after the closing date will not be accepted. In the event of any dispute, the decision of the Promoter is final. No cash alternative. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize for an alternative of equal or greater value. No correspondence will be entered into.
16. Manufacturer’s references or printing errors do not constitute valid codes. The Promoter does not assume any responsibility for codes damaged or defaced in the way the product packaging is opened. If you cannot read your code due to a genuine printing error, please return to the Promoter at Unilever UK, PG tips, Freepost, ADM3950, London, SW1A 1YR . Please include your name, email and full address details and a replacement code will be sent to you. Alternatively, please call the Careline free on 0800 456111 between 9am and 6pm.
17. The Promoter reserves the right to verify all entries including but not limited to asking for address and identity details (which they must provide within 14 days) and to refuse to award a prize or withdraw prize entitlement and/or refuse further participation in the promotion and disqualify the participant where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these terms and conditions or any instructions forming part of this promotions entry requirements or otherwise where a participant has gained unfair advantage in participating in the promotion or won using fraudulent means. The Promoter will be the final arbiter in any decisions and these will be binding and no correspondence will be entered into in relation this clause.
18. In the event of circumstances outside the reasonable control of the promoter, or otherwise where fraud, abuse, and/or an error (human or computer) affects or could affect the proper operation of this promotion or the awarding of prizes, and only where circumstances make this unavoidable, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the promotion or these terms and conditions , at any stage, but will always endeavour to minimize the effect to participants in order to avoid undue disappointment.
19. In the event of any dispute, the decision of the Promoter is final. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize for an alternative of equal or greater value. No correspondence will be entered into.
20. The winner’s details (name and county) will be made available if requests are made to either HeyHuman (The promotional agency, 40 Vanston Place, London, SW6 1AX) or Unilever within ten weeks after the closing date. Please enclose a stamped addressed envelope.
21. These terms and conditions and any issues or disputes which may arise out of or in connection with these terms and conditions (whether such disputes or issues are contractual or non-contractual in nature, such as claims in tort, for breach of statute or regulation or otherwise) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. Entrants hereby irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English and Welsh courts to settle any such dispute or issues.
22. Data Protection: Use of personal data received in the course of the promotion will be used in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. By submitting an entry, you consent to the Promoter processing your personal data for the purposes of carrying out the promotion and notifying and advertising the winners. You acknowledge that the Promoter may pass such information to its third party agency, solely for the purposes of administering the promotion. We will not use your data unless you give us your express consent.
