love this lemon pie fillingMy family adore this lemon pie filling. It is really zesty and tasty, I use a biscuit base of gingernuts and digestives, but My mum used to make a short pastry base which was lovely too. Unfortunately, it always seems to be out of stock now So the next time I find it I am ordering half a dozen.

Tasteless pap!I haven't bought any Greens lemon pie filling for a while and this came as a big disappointment.
The 'new recipe' is dreadful being nearly tasteless and has a rather gelatinous consistency.
How the other reviewers could rate it highly baffles me; maybe their expectations were very low or they didn't know what the previous product was like.
Definitely won't buy again.

Be carefulFor many years I have used this product with great results. By accident, I have noticed that the recipe has changed so that it is just add water and no mention of egg. These packs were bought in the local Sainsbury's so I am not sure about the online version. Well, I made a pie without looking at the recipe on the packet using an egg yolk for the filling as per usual. The result was a very rubbery lemon filling. I have not tried the 'new' product without adding an egg yolk so I cannot comment on that. However, for people who have been using Green's Lemon Pie Filling for years and years, look at the packet carefully and don't make the same mistake as me!

Always in the cupboardHave used this for many years, as did my mother. I've deducted a star because I remember when the mix had a capsule of concentrated lemon oil in it which melted as the mix heated giving off a wonderful fresh lemon scent. Hasn't tasted as good to me since that went but I always add extra lemon juice anyway.

Lovely flavourWent with queen bees recommendation and used an extra egg yolk with less water, added lemon juice to the filling and less sugar in the meringue.
It was really tasty .
Will be buying again and doing the same

Family FavouriteThis is something i have been making since the early 1960's and it has become a family favourite over the years, although i haven't seen it for sometime. It always comes out lovely, brings a smile to your face it's so yummy. Green's have been around for decades and this is just like being homemade so enjoy it as we do!

tweek the recipeUse both egg yolks with less water for the filling and use lemon juice to enhance the filling . Use less sugar for the topping. Then this will REALLY be good
