History: At Louis Jadot we have made fine Burgundy since 1859. Burgundy's reputation stems from the unique growing conditions, or "terroir", enjoyed by each separate vineyard. Louis Jadot wines celebrate this diversity, reflecting these all important natural differences of soil, aspect and climate.

Regional information: The production area for this wine is the whole of Burgundy.

Vinification: The wine is usually fermented for two weeks by the different growers, in the style of the region where it comes from. The wines are then blended with a proportion aged in barrels and the rest in vats for 9 to 16 months before bottling.

delicious whispering wineWhispering Angel is hands down one of the best rosés I’ve ever had! It’s crisp, light, and beautifully balanced with notes of peach, citrus, and a hint of strawberry. Absolutely gorgeous wine!The Louis Jadot Bourgogne Pinot Noir is a beautifully balanced wine with a smooth, medium body. The raspberry and cherry notes come through really well, giving it a fresh, fruity character, while the subtle oak ageing adds just the right amount of depth and softness. It’s an easy-drinking Pinot Noir that feels elegant but approachable – perfect on its own or paired with food.

I had mine with a beautiful Italian dish, though it seems like a very versatile wine that really serves great value for money. The product arrived well packaged and I will definitely be purchasing again!

PerfectionThis is my new favourite red!! I paired it with a duck Chinese dish I prepared. The wine went perfectly! In fact on my first sip I said ‘oh that’s good’. For me it is the perfect blend of flavours.

I wouldn’t pay the price for myself on a Tuesday evening, but, if I was cooking for guests it would be on my shopping list.

A good value Pinot NoirI like Pinot Noir but a lot of what there is below a certain quality level is very full of tannins. it can taste dry and sharp seemingly no matter how long you let it breathe or at whatever temperature its served. A premium Pinot Noir is the complete opposite. It is smooth, free of bitterness and dangerously drinkable. Having tried the Louis Jadot Bourgogne Pinot, I have since bought more. It is perhaps worthy of being allowed to age a bit but as it is marks a worthwhile upgrade over Pinot Noir that sit on lower shelves
