This wine envelops you in a warming embrace - juicy raspberries meet aromatic spice and finish with a silky elegance.

The Ventoux appellation in the southern Rhône is named after the famous Mount Ventoux which towers over the surrounding landscape. Here the Mediterranean sun is tempered by the cooling effects of the mountain, so producing supremely elegant wines.

These grapes were grown in a UNESCO Global Geopark which combines conservation and sustainability.

Well balanced with a nice structure, this wine is excellent with pan fried duck breast.

Truly wonderful for the priceIn the first instance, I confess I was intrigued by the 14.5 alcohol levels, but curiosity quickly gave way to intense satisfaction: beautifully rounded, rich, just delicious. Absolute bargain at this price.

Will be a stapleHave been on the hunt for good full bodied wines without a vanilla note. This is it! Recommend to anyone who likes a good earthy red — delicious. Only downside is the price being over that £10 mark but honestly it tastes expensive so can't really complain!

Excellent example of rhone redA little dry on opening, but after half an hour had softened a lot, nice fairly full bodied example of Rhone wine, not a huge nose but some, a little tannin holds it together with a mix of Berry fruit and pepper spice in the finish, good value at this price

Nice wine from a famous place in Tour de FranceI agree with the other reviewers that this is very nice wine; its also from a hallowed place in the cycling world; Mont Ventoux is a famous stage finish of Le Tour de France, its also where the Brit Tom Simpson died in the finale of the 1967 Tour de France stage. The vineyards are on the southern slopes of the mountain, Bedoin is the nearest place. Hope this bit of trivia helps you to enjoy your wine and appreciate where it came from :-)
