This iconic Italian red is rich yet refined with red cherry and redcurrant flavours, fine tannins and a crisp acidity. The time spent ageing in oak barrels results in a smoky spice on the finish.

The picturesque medieval hilltop town of Montepulciano in Tuscany is at the heart of the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano region. This wine is made from predominantly Sangiovese grapes by family winery Cecchi whose 125 years' experience in winemaking shows in the elegance of this wine.

This rich, fruity red is a great match for roasted meats or strong, hard cheeses.

DisappointingThis wine was very disappointing. A bit rough and didn't improve much with airing.
It could have been "corked" because it tasted a bit as if it had been opened several days ago. Not good at all. I would certainly not buy again.

Good italian red wineExcellent tasting smooth red wine which is very reasonably priced. We drank ours as an accompaniment to our pasta dinner and it went very well but I imagine it would go well with most food. I could taste fruit in it and we enjoyed and would purchase again.
