History: P. Bouchard (1814-1898), a prominent 5th-generation member of the family, played a key role in elevating both his house and the wider wine region to international recognition. A passionate and dedicated leader, he supported his community and the wine industry, notably founding a viticultural school to preserve and pass on winemaking knowledge. The wines created in his honour reflect his legacy, embodying quality, elegance, and the richness of French terroirs while continuing his commitment to excellence.
Regional information: The grapes were mechanically harvested to enhance colour and fresh fruity aromas through pre-ferment maceration. Each plot was vinified separately with a long fermentation, followed by a hot post-ferment maceration to refine tannins. The wine was then aged for four months on fine lees, partly in oak barrels for added complexity and partly in stainless steel to preserve freshness.
