Cooking instructions: Oven
Oven cook from chilled. If freezing at home, defrost thoroughly before cooking. Before cooking: Remove joint from packaging and allow to rest at room temperature for 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 200ºC / Fan 180ºC / Gas 6. Brush joint with 5ml of oil and season with a pinch of salt and pepper. During cooking: Sear all sides of the joint in a hot pan for 3 minutes. Place the joint into a roasting dish and place in the centre of the pre-heated oven and cook for: Rare 40 minutes, Medium 45 minutes, Well Done 50 minutes Electric 200ºC Fan 180ºC Gas 6 After cooking: Remove from the oven, cover joint in foil and leave to rest for 10 minutes. Check food is piping hot. All cooking appliances vary. This is a guide only. If cooked rare there is a small risk that harmful bacteria may be present.
