ICONIC COONAWARRA CABERNET SINCE 1954
TOP 20–25% TERRA ROSSA CABERNET FRUIT
STRUCTURED & ELEGANT
First produced in 1954, Wynns ‘Black Label’ Cabernet Sauvignon is one of Australia’s most collectable and iconic red wines. Crafted from the top 20–25% of Cabernet fruit grown on Wynns’ famed Terra Rossa vineyards, this benchmark Cabernet delivers exceptional varietal purity and regional character. Expect layers of cassis, blackcurrant, dark cherry and fine cedar, with savoury depth, subtle chocolate notes and beautifully integrated oak. Refined tannins and natural acidity create a long, mineralised finish, showcasing the elegance and power that Coonawarra is renowned for. Perfect with chargrilled fillet, roast lamb or matured hard cheeses. It is a luxury, quality wine that is brutally elegant. Product details may vary; including ABV and Vintage.
Wynns is the iconic name of Australian wine, rooted in the rugged beauty of Coonawarra, South Australia. Our story began in 1891, when Scottish pioneer John Riddoch recognised the potential in the fierce, red Terra Rossa soil, a narrow, vivid strip of earth that demands respect from those who work it.
Over the decades, Wynns has become the epitome of quality and excellence. We embrace a brutally elegant duality: the raw, untamed power of our landscape, refined into a wine of exceptional quality. It is a testament to our winemakers’ dedication to the craft that this challenging, ancient soil yields award-winning results.
When you choose Wynns, you choose flavour as deep and enduring as the heritage that forged it.

History: Wynns Coonawarra Estate Winery Built 1896 Wynns Coonawarra Estate was founded by pioneer John Riddoch who planted vineyards in 1891. Today it is home to the famous triple-gabled winery and the Coonawarra railway siding.
Regional information: Coonawarra's cool climate and famous terra rossa soils are now rightfully celebrated the world over. This region's reds are seen amongst Australia's greatest. Much of this is down to Samuel Wynn and his son, David, who bought an almost desolate vineyard in 1951 with no expectations of making a profit.
Vinification: Today, the Wynns Coonawarra Estate label is one of the most recognisable in Australia.
