BEER

TASTING NOTES

Banana, bubblegum, clove and tangy citrus

Wheat beers range in colour from very pale white-yellow to rich bronze and even dark brown and have a fruity, citrusy and spicy character. They're mostly unfiltered and cloudy to maintain the aroma and flavours. Other welcome flavours found in wheat beers include apples, bubblegum and banana. Mild to very tart sourness in taste with a very subtle bitter finish.

FOOD PAIRINGS

Essential with spicy food - Indian, Mexican, Thai - and eggs

Both types of wheat beer are excellent with food. Their light, citrusy character make them an ideal accompaniment to fish, sushi and smoked salmon particularly. Egg based dishes such as quiche will be brightened up by wheat beer and spicy Indian food is a superb match with the sweetness in the beer tempering spice and letting the natural sweetness in the dish sing.
