A medium-bodied red with black fruit flavours in abundance - fleshy plums, rich blackberries and juicy black cherries.
The finish hints at dark chocolate and its silky texture caresses the palate.
Brouilly is one of the famed ten Crus of the Beaujolais wine region. This smooth red is richer in style than most Beaujolais wines and has a real elegance and complexity. The wine takes its name from Mont Brouilly where the beautiful 13th century Château de Pierreux is situated.
Pair this smooth, fruity red with a platter of cold meats and cheeses and some crusty French bread.
