Our pigs are born outdoors and after weaning are moved inside to be reared in straw bedded barns.
Cooking instructions: Oven
HOW TO COOK TO PERFECTION To pan fry & oven cook from chilled. 1) Preheat oven to 200°C / Fan 180°C / Gas 6. Remove all packaging. Preheat frying pan over a high heat. Rub slices with 5ml of vegetable oil and season with a pinch of salt and pepper. 2) Pan fry slices for 6 minutes turning halfway through. 3) Remove from pan and place on a baking tray on the middle shelf of the oven. Cook for a further 25 minutes. 4) Remove from oven, cover with foil and allow to rest for 2 minutes before serving. Check food is piping hot and no pink colour remains. All cooking appliances vary. This is a guide only.
Warnings:
This product is not suitable for rare cooking. Do not undercook raw meat. Keep raw meat separate from cooked foods. Use separate kitchen utensils and surfaces for raw meat and cooked foods or wash them thoroughly between use. Wash hands after handling raw meat. Raw meat may contain organisms hazardous to health. Cook thoroughly until piping hot throughout, no pink colour remains and the juices run clear. If not fully cooked in accordance with the instructions harmful bacteria may remain.
