Our pigs are born outdoors and after weaning are moved inside to be reared in straw bedded barns.

Preparation and Safety

Cooking instructions: Shallow Fry

To pan fry from chilled. Before cooking: Remove all packaging. Preheat the frying pan over a moderate heat. During cooking: Place mince in the preheated pan. Cook over a moderate heat for 12 mins until brown, stirring occasionally. After cooking: Remove from pan. Check food is piping hot and no pink colour remains. All cooking appliances vary. This is a guide only.

Warnings:

This product is not suitable for rare cooking. Do not undercook raw meat. Keep raw meat separate from cooked foods. Use separate kitchen utensils and surfaces for raw meat and cooked foods or wash them thoroughly between use. Wash hands after handling raw meat. Raw meat may contain organisms hazardous to health. Cook thoroughly until piping hot throughout, no pink colour remains and the juices run clear. If not fully cooked in accordance with the instructions harmful bacteria may remain.

Great qualityI bought this mince this week to start making my own burgers. I was really happy with the way they turned out. The meat stayed soft and tender and the flavour was great. If you want to make burgers that are really succulent - this is for you. I will be buying this regularly

Tasty and succulent minced beefI find Taste the Difference products excellent and this does not disappoint.The quality of the mined meat is very succulent and tasty .The only comment I have about this is like all of Sainsbury's mincemeat products the packaging is too air tight and this makes the mince rather difficult to cook with as it needs to really be broken up once it enters the pan . If not broken up before it browns lumpy mince forms !
