To pan fry and oven cook from chilled. If freezing at home, defrost thoroughly before cooking. Before cooking: Remove all packaging and allow to rest at room temperature for 20 minutes. Rub with 5ml of oil and season with a pinch of salt and pepper. Preheat oven to 200⁰C/Fan 180⁰C/Gas 6. Preheat frying pan to a high heat. During cooking: For best results the pan must be hot. Sear steak for 4 minutes turning regularly. Transfer steak from the pan to a preheated tray and place on the middle shelf of the oven. Cooking time for rare is 7-9 minutes, medium 9-11 minutes and well done 14-16 minutes, turning half-way through. After cooking: Remove from the oven and allow to rest for 2 minutes before serving. This product should be cooked until piping hot throughout. If cooking rare, check the surface is fully seared/browned. All cooking appliances vary. This is a guide only.
