Cooking instructions: Other
To pan fry and oven cook from chilled. If freezing at home, defrost thoroughly before cooking. Before cooking: Remove all packaging and allow steak to rest at room temperature for 20 minutes. Rub with 5ml of oil and season with a pinch of salt and pepper. Preheat oven to 200⁰C/Fan 180⁰C/Gas 6. Preheat frying pan to a high heat. During cooking: For best results the pan must be hot. Seal steak for 4 minutes turning regularly. Transfer steak from the pan and place onto pre-heated tray into the oven, season again with salt and pepper. Cooking times for rare are 9-11 minutes, medium 12-16 minutes, well done 20-22 minutes. After cooking: Remove from the tray and allow to rest for 10 minutes before serving. This product should be cooked until it is piping hot throughout. If cooking rare, check the surface is fully seared/browned. All cooking appliances vary. This is a guide only.
