Preparation and Safety

Cooking instructions: Oven

Oven cook from chilled. If freezing at home, defrost thoroughly before cooking. Before cooking: Preheat oven to 190°C / Fan 170°C / Gas 5. Remove all packaging. Place mini fillets on a baking tray on the middle shelf of the oven. During cooking: Cook for 15 minutes. Turn halfway through cooking. After cooking: Check food is piping hot. All cooking appliances vary. This is a guide only. Chef's Tips: Drizzle a little oil on the fillets and season with salt & pepper on both sides.

Cooking instructions: Shallow Fry

Pan fry from chilled, but can also be oven cooked. If freezing at home, defrost thoroughly before cooking. Before cooking: Heat 15ml of oil in a frying pan. Remove all packaging. Once oil is hot add the mini fillets. During cooking: Pan fry on a moderate heat for 10 minutes. Turn regularly. After cooking: Check food is piping hot. All cooking appliances vary. This is a guide only.

Warnings:

Don't wash raw chicken.

Keep raw poultry separate from cooked foods.

Use separate kitchen utensils and surfaces for raw poultry and cooked foods or wash them thoroughly in between use.

Wash hands after handling raw poultry.

Cook raw poultry thoroughly until it is piping hot throughout and no pink colour remains.

Poultry is cooked if the juices run clear when the deepest part of the flesh is pierced with a thin skewer.

DisappointingI tried these because they are a little cheaper than the full-sized fillets. They were very disappointing: not exactly tough but distinctly chewy. I used them in a stir fry; perhaps they would be OK if cooked more slowly.

Free range but pricey.My conscience will not let me buy any chicken that is not free range but it is getting too expensive. I had to buy these because I could not buy a small enough pack of free range chicken breasts.

Good qualityI was interested to try these as I must admit I usually buy the cheaper ones. We made chicken Fajitas with these and the chicken was tasty and maybe a little firmer than cheaper products. We enjoyed it but not sure would buy again.

Fresh, easy to prepareGreat portion size, little no preparation needed because the chicken is skinless and boneless. Lovely fresh pieces of chicken very little moisture when cooking and tasted good too. Good to know the chicken was free range and i think this was reflected in the quality of the product.

Chickeny ChickenA decent packet of precut chicken. It was tender and tasty in the dishes I added it to. Quite succulent, although I was wary that it might not last as well as other chicken.

I used it in stir fry dishes and also in a chicken pie. It was flavoursome and filling in all. The pieces were a decent size - quite robust chunks.

Nice and leanI decided to make a curry with this chicken. It’s helpful that it is in small pieces but still needed chopping up do not sure worth paying a premium for. The chicken itself tasted great and was very lean, no fat which I prefer

Free range chicken breast mini filletsFirst time trying these, very handy to use in stir fry. I normally cut up chicken breasts, so this saved time, as they are just right size. Also no watery leakage when cooking. They retained flavour and although more expensive than other products, they are worth it as no fatty/sinuey bits to trim off, so you get what you pay for.

Good filletsVery nice Sainsbury's Free Range British Chicken Breast Mini Fillets. I found them handy to keep in the freezer but when used were very tender and went in our stir-fry very well. Don't always want to whole chicken breast.

Definitely TTDI wanted to cook these plain to see if I could taste the difference from non free range, & you definitely can, there wasn’t the white froth sometimes associated with chicken & they hardly shrank, they were tender & enjoyable, the only downside is the cost but definitely worth the extra when budget allows.

Perfect fir stir fryGood lean chicken fillets just the right portion size for two. Cooked as a stir fry with lots of vegetables and some cashew nuts and a home made sweet and sour sauce, served with bulgur wheat and peas instead of rice making it low carb.
