After opening, the colour of the meat will return after two or three minutes. There may be a slight odour present, which will disappear after ten minutes. This does not affect the eating quality of the lamb.
Cooking instructions: Oven from Frozen
Oven cook from either frozen or chilled. Oven cook from frozen. Before cooking: Preheat oven. Remove all packaging including the plastic cap and place lamb into a roasting tin. Rub 15ml vegetable oil into lamb and season with 1tsp salt and pepper and loosely cover with foil. Place on middle shelf of the oven. During cooking: One hour into cooking time, remove joint from the oven, remove foil and return to the oven for the remainder of time. After cooking: Allow to rest for 10 minutes, loosely covered with foil before carving. If cooking rare, check the surface is fully seared/browned. All cooking appliances vary. This is a guide only. Rub 15ml vegetable oil into lamb and season with 1tsp salt and pepper. Place on the middle shelf of the oven. After cooking: Allow to rest for 15 minutes, loosely covered with foil before carving.
