To pan fry and oven cook from chilled. If freezing at home, defrost thoroughly before cooking. Before cooking: Remove all packaging. Allow steak to rest at room temperature for 20 minutes. Rub with 5ml of oil and season with a pinch of salt and pepper. Preheat oven to 180⁰C/Fan 180⁰C/Gas 7. Preheat frying pan to a high heat. During cooking: For best results the pan must be hot. Sear steak for 4 minutes turning regularly. Transfer steak from the pan and place onto preheated tray into the centre of the oven. Cooking times for rare are 12 minutes, medium 14 minutes, well done 18 minutes. After cooking: Remove from the oven and allow to rest for 10 minutes before serving. This product should be cooked until piping hot throughout. If cooking rare, check the surface is fully seared/browned. All cooking appliances vary. This is a guide only.
